2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk: Rumors and Expectations

2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk Featured

The legendary nameplate has been revived last year and the new model impresses in many ways. It is one of the best SUVs in the class, so many strong points, so it’s hard to believe that the second production year could bring more important changes. However, some sources suggest that the next year is about to bring a new version, called the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk. This is a well-known nameplate among Jeep’s models, with all kinds of upgrades.

The current model is already available with all kinds of off-road upgrades but this version would be a much more capable off-roader, in the manner of other Trailhawk models in Jeep’s lineup. We count on additional off-road upgrades, but also all kinds of visual upgrades, as well as a long list of standard equipment.

We expect that the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk will hit the market sometime late in the year.

2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk Design

Design-wise, the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk will be largely the same as the standard model. This is a pretty fresh vehicle, built over the same platform as Ram 1500. In this case, we expect all kinds of mechanical upgrades. The first thing that comes to mind is the suspension setup and we expect that the Quadra-Lift air suspension will be part of the standard equipment, along with some other suspension upgrades. Furthermore, we expect that this model will come standard with locking front and rear differentials, a two-speed transfer case, additional skid plates, off-road tires, additional traction modes etc.

Besides various mechanical upgrades, we also expect to see some unique styling details that accentuate the model’s off-road character. We expect to see unique wheels, a different bumper shape that ensures better approach and departure angles, unique exterior trim and some exclusive color options.

Interior

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk would also come with a couple of exclusive features but most of the things would be the same as in the standard model. That’s definitely not an issue, considering that the current model features one of the nicest cabins in the class, characterized by high-quality materials, attractive dashboard aesthetics and lots of tech and convenience features.

Besides great overall quality, this SUV offers plenty of space. Of course, three rows of seats are standard, whereas the first two are very comfortable and very generous with space. The third row is also quite spacious and comfortable. Furthermore, the cargo area offers around 27.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind its third-row seats, 70.8 cubic feet with these seats folded, and 116.7 cubic feet of the total cargo volume, which is pretty good for the segment.

Features

This will certrainly be one of the most expensive variants of the SUV. Therefore, we have no doubt it will come with all kinds of standard and available equipment. All models will certainly come standard with goodies like a 10.1-inch touch screen, a 10.3-inch digital gauge cluster, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, eight USB ports, satellite radio, and a nine-speaker stereo, as well as with keyless entry, push-button start, remote start, and tri-zone automatic climate control.

The same thing goes for the safety features. The list of standard equipment includes goodies like a rearview camera, parking sensors, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert etc. The list of standard equipment could also include automatic high beams, head-up display, driver drowsiness detection, surround-view camera etc.

2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk Engine

We don’t expect surprises under the hood. The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk should come with the same engine as the standard model. This would mean a 5.7-liter V8 HEMI engine, plus a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The engine puts out around 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque and comes coupled with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. Of course, four-wheel drive will be standard, as well as a two-speed transfer case.

When it comes to fuel economy, we expect something like 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway, which would be below average for the segment.

2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk Release Date and Price

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Trailhawk is yet to be officially confirmed but we presume it would arrive by the end of this year. We estimate that the base price would go somewhere between 75.000 and 80.000 dollars.
