2024 Lincoln Navigator: Preview, Redesign, Features, Price

2024 Lincoln Navigator

The segment of full-size luxury SUVs is one of the most prestigious segments of today’s automotive industry, where manufacturers use their best cards to attract customers, whether it’s about the latest technologies or super-luxurious features. Therefore, the fact that the current generation of Navigator has been around since 2018 means that we are talking about one of the oldest models in the class. However, it still has a lot of great things to offer, especially after the recent mid-cycle update, which has brought new styling, an upgraded infotainment system etc. Therefore, we are pretty sure that the current generation will remain in production for some more time. Allegedly, the 2024 Lincoln Navigator will represent the final production year of the generation.

That’s why we don’t expect to see bigger changes. This SUV should carry on in the same way, with familiar specs and features. It offers impressive interior quality, as well as a pretty spacious and comfortable cabin. We also like its capable but still efficient powertrain, as well as a pretty long list of standard equipment.

2024 Lincoln Navigator Design

As we’ve just mentioned, no bigger changes are expected for the 2024 Lincoln Navigator, which should represent the final production year of the generation. So, we expect to see a familiar design, with all the updates that were recently introduced. This particularly refers to the refreshed styling, which has brought a couple of subtle changes. Some of the highlights are new LED highlights and a new grille, which make this large SUV look even more appealing.

On the other hand, we didn’t see any bigger mechanical changes, so the ride quality remains the same. The Navigator offers a smooth and comfortable ride, with a suspension that absorbs road imperfections in such a nice fashion. At the same time, handling is reasonably good.

Interior

The same thing is with interior design. The Navigator combines old-school styling solutions with modern tech features. Such a combination makes this cabin look extremely elegant and even though there are several much younger rivals, this SUV still stands out with unique style. The materials are excellent, and there is a lot of attention to detail as well. Finally, the recent update brought a new, bigger infotainment screen, with updated software and sharper graphics.

Besides plenty of styles, this SUV also offers plenty of space. The front seats are well-shaped, with impressive comfort and very good support. The second row is also very spacious and comfy, while the third row also accommodates adults with ease.

When it comes to cargo space, you may count on up to 20.9 cubic feet of space behind the third row, 63.6 cubic feet behind the second row and 103.3 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. While that’s undoubtedly a lot of space, rivals like Cadillac Escalade and Jeep Grand Wagoneer offer even more.

Features

Of course, there is a big possibility to see a few novelties on the list of standard equipment but we are pretty sure that most things will remain the same. Therefore, the list of standard features should include goodies like a 13.2-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, satellite radio, five USB ports, a 14-speaker Revel audio system, wireless device charging, tri-zone automatic climate control and remote start. Among upgrades, expect to find goodies like a panoramic sunroof, a 28-speaker Revel audio system and a dual-screen rear entertainment system with Amazon Fire TV compatibility.

The same is with safety features. Therefore, expect to see base models equipped with goodies like a rearview camera, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane keep assist etc.

2024 Lincoln Navigator Engine

Under the hood, the 2024 Lincoln Navigator will continue with a familiar 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, which puts out around 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. That’s plenty enough to ensure pretty impressive performances, especially if we consider that the engine works very well in a combination with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Base models come with rear-wheel drive, while 4WD is available.

Fuel Economy

While most rivals still use a large V8 engine, this one relies on a more efficient twin-turbo V6, which provides much better fuel economy. With this unit, you may count on about 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Of course, models with four-wheel drive are slightly thirstier and return around 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.

2024 Lincoln Navigator Release Date and Price

As there are no significant changes to come, we presume that the 2024 Lincoln Navigator will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of 2023. The base price should go around 79.000 dollars.
