The new generation of the world’s best-selling pickup is here and just like it was expected, the redesign hasn’t brought anything revolutionary. Instead, we saw an evolution of the previous generation, which was the one to come with significant changes. So, most enthusiasts are actually more interested in what’s about to happen in the second production year, which is the time when we are about to see the new 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor. The high-performance off-roader is about to come with all kinds of upgrades over the standard model but the thing that’s the most interesting by far is the expected V8 version.
All in all, you may count on familiar design characteristics. This version will come with significant upgrades, especially in terms of mechanics. You may count on significantly better off-road performance, but also on a new styling that includes all kinds of exclusive details. We expect to see it sometime in the second half of the year.
2022 Ford F-150 Raptor Redesign

Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is standard four-wheel drive, while we also count on locking differentials, two-speed transfer case, skid plates and, most importantly, off-road race suspension. This means new performance dampers, with longer travel and higher ground clearance.
Styling
Besides numerous mechanical upgrades, we also expect to see a 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor with a plethora of unique styling details. Of course, the overall appearance will be based on the new generation. This means a completely new design language, with a completely different front face.
On the other side, exclusive styling details should be pretty similar to the previous version. We count on a completely different front face, with the familiar black grill that includes massive “Ford” lettering on it, instead of the traditional blue-oval badge. Interior

2022 Ford F-150 Raptor Engine
When it comes to certain things, we know for sure that the standard Raptor will continue with the same engine under the hood. That would be a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, which puts out around 450 horsepower and comes in pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission. With such an amount of power, you may count on nothing but excellent dynamics and overall performance. Even the fuel economy is pretty decent, given the amount of power. So, the focus would be on putting more power, which means a bigger engine under the hood. Most experts believe that would be a 5.2-liter Supercharged V8 from Shelby GT500, which puts out around 760 horsepower. For this occasion, the engine would probably be tuned down for a bit.
