That would be the third production year in North America, but the fourth year since the new Tucson arrived in the international market. Considering that the Korean carmaker usually practices short production cycles with quick updates, these rumors make a lot of sense. However, the officials are still quiet about the 2024 Hyundai Tucson and its possible updates.
In any case, we presume that this would be a typical mid-cycle refresh. In other words, we would see a solid number of visual updates, while the overall layout would remain the same. The refreshed Tucson would continue to deliver a smooth and comfortable ride, along with a pretty luxurious cabin and quite efficient powertrain options.

2024 Hyundai Tucson Design
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2024 Hyundai Tucson could receive a mid-cycle refresh. Details are still unavailable, but we presume that the focus would be on aesthetic updates. Some rendering photos already appeared on the network and they show a little bit bolder design approach, with a more massive iteration of the familiar grille. Also, the same photos show little bit different headlights and other lighting groups, also designed in a little bit more rugged manner.
Of course, we also expect to see some updates on the rear end, as well as typical novelties in terms of new color options, new wheels etc. On the other hand, the mechanical aspect shouldn’t change, which means that the new Tucson would continue to deliver a smooth and comfortable ride, with decently composed handling.
Interior
On the other hand, we don’t believe that the 2024 Hyundai Tucson interior could bring bigger changes. Simply, the current cabin is already among the nicest in the class, with elegant aesthetics and super-nice materials. The build quality is excellent, the sound insulation is also very good, and the infotainment system is easy to use. Simply, Hyundai did an excellent job with this cabin, so we have no doubt things will carry on in the same way.
The same thing is with the seating configuration. There are two spacious rows of seats, which both accommodate adults with ease. The front seats are massive and supportive, while the driving position is also very good. The second row is very generous with legroom, thanks to the long wheelbase, and it accommodates three adults pretty easily.
The cargo area is also very spacious and practical. YOu may count on 38.7 cubic feet behind the second row and nearly 75 cubic feet of the total cargo volume. Those are some of the highest ratings in the class.
Features
We presume that this update could also bring some novelties regarding the standard and available equipment, even though the current model already stands pretty well in this aspect. The current model comes standard with goodies like an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD radio, a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, two USB ports, remote keyless entry etc.
The potential additions to the list of standard equipment are those features that are currently optional. Some of the highlights are goodies like a 10.2-inch touch screen, 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, wireless device charging, satellite radio, an eight-speaker stereo, two additional USB ports, dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a digital key app, ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof.
2024 Hyundai Tucson Engines
The current model comes with three powertrain options on offer, starting from the base 2.5-liter inline-four, which puts out around 187 horsepower and 187 pound-feet of torque. The engine comes coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission and works pretty well for daily commuting. Also, you may count on pretty decent fuel economy, which goes around 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.
There are also two hybrid versions, both based on a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine. The self-charging hybrid offers a combined output of 226 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid comes with a more capable electric motor and a bigger battery. Some sources also speculate about the possible performance version of the new Tucson. Allegedly, that model would come with a 2.5-liter turbo-four, with a max output of around 281 horsepower. The officials are still quiet about this potential upgrade.
