2024 Nissan Armada Redesign: What To Expect

2024 Nissan Armada featured

The company’s flagship SUV is coming significantly updated this year. We are about to see a lot of changes for the 2021 model year and pretty much all of them will be based on the recently updated Patrol, which is one of Nissan’s most famous nameplates and pretty much the same vehicle as Armada, sold abroad. That refresh will keep the current generation fresh and competitive for a couple of more years and if we take Nissan’s typical production cycle length, the next generation will probably come in about three years, most likely as the 2024 Nissan Armada. We’ve already heard some of the details about the new versions but, obviously, it’s still way too early to go into something more specific.

2024 Nissan Armada Redesign

If we look at the upcoming facelifted model, it shows us the direction of Nissan’s styling philosophy and definitely hints some of the aspects of the next-generation model. As you can see, there is a completely new face, with futuristic LED headlights and new bumpers with huge air intakes. We presume that the next generation would continue the evolution of the new design language and it’s hard to expect any radical change, especially if we consider that this model shares pretty much everything with the internationally-offered Patrol, which is one of the brand’s most legendary nameplates and which is a model that always gets special treatment from the company’s engineers.

When it comes to mechanics, it looks like the Japanese company won’t give up on the good old F-Alpha platform. If you look at how the current model acts, there is no good reason for such a move. Simply, this architecture ensures a good balance between performances and efficiency, while the handling and overall driving experience are superior compared to other full-size SUVs. The only potential drawback refers to electrification, as it would be really hard to adapt this architecture to some heavier hybrid setup.

Interior

When it comes to interior design, we presume that the overall layout wouldn’t be significantly different.  Of course, we count on three rows of seats and we don’t expect that the wheelbase will be significantly stretched and that the amount of legroom will be significantly bigger. Simply, we are pretty sure that the company will tend to keep this model off-road capable. Of course, the 2024 Nissan Armada would come with completely new dashboard design and interior styling. More luxury, more tech goodies and loads of new features is what we can expect from the new model.

2024 Nissan Armada Engine

When it comes to the powertrain offer, the current model comes with a familiar 5.6-liter V8, which puts out around 400 horsepower and offers pretty good driving dynamics. However, it’s not particularly efficient and we also have no doubt that emission standards will become much higher in the following years. That’s why we are pretty sure that the 2024 Nissan Armada will come with something smaller and more efficient. Some of the things that come to mind are a turbo V6 engine, while some mild hybrid seems possible as well. However, it is still early for details, so we won’t go into anything deeper than this.

2024 Nissan Armada Release Date and Price

The 2024 Nissan Armada is about to arrive sometime in 2023. When it comes to the price, the current model goes around 48.000 dollars and we don’t expect some really significant changes with this redesign, though inflation will certainly affect the price tag, so a couple of thousands more seems like a certain thing. Another thing to mention is that some sources suggest that the next-generation Mitsubishi Pajero is also in works and that will share most of the parts with this next-generation Armada.
